COVID-19 Resident Communication – 5.28.21

To our Valued Residents of Steven Scott Management:

Well, the time has come! As of today, all occupancy restrictions have been lifted and there are no further distancing requirements. It has been quite the year of policy changes within our communities. Below is a final update on property operations:

Office Operations:

  • Our offices will still have ‘We’re Open But Still Practicing Social Distancing’ signage posted outside the doors. Please continue to be mindful of the personal space of others when entering our offices.
  • We still encourage residents to communicate through email, phone or the portal when paying rent or requesting maintenance in their apartment. If you need to meet with any of our team members for an extended period of time, our offices may not always be the best option (properties vary in size). We may utilize the more open spaces in our buildings such as conference rooms and clubroom spaces if available.
  • You will start to notice that all signage will be removed regarding occupancy restrictions and social distancing in our common areas and amenity spaces.

Maintenance Work Orders:
We will be asking the following question if you are calling in a work order or submitting it through your resident portal:

  • Would you like maintenance to wear a mask upon entry into your apartment?

This will be added to the already existing questions you’ve seen over the past year:

  • Has anyone in the apartment traveled internationally?
  • Does anyone in the apartment have a fever?
  • Is anyone in the apartment taking care of someone who is sick or has been sick?

Touring occupied apartments:

  • If you have given notice to vacate your apartment home, you will be notified 24 hours in advance of our staff touring a prospect for your apartment. We will ask if you prefer staff and guests wear a face mask in your apartment while touring.

Fitness Centers:

  • Open to full capacity
  • Sanitary wipes and spray will be available for residents to wipe down equipment before and after use.

Common Area Restrooms/Locker Rooms:

  • No restrictions. Residents should follow normal occupancy limits.

Community Rooms/Lounges/Media Rooms:

  • Open to full capacity and normal operating hours.
  • Private reservations will be accepted if they have been in the past (community specific).
  • Anti-bacterial spray or wipes will be available for resident use in these areas.

Outdoor Rooftop Decks/Patios/Grilling Stations:

  • Open to full capacity.
  • Residents should continue to provide their own grilling tools.
  • Anti-bacterial spray or wipes will be available for resident use in these areas.

Steam Rooms/Sauna’s/Indoor Pools/Outdoor Pools:

  • Saunas and steam rooms are open. **NEW
  • INDOOR POOLS: Open to full capacity.
  • OUTDOOR POOLS: Open to full capacity.
  • Anti-bacterial spray or wipes will be available for resident use in these areas.

Face Masks:
As mentioned in our communication last week, the mask policy at all Steven Scott properties has been lifted, with the exception of Minneapolis and St. Paul properties where the Mayors of each city have extended the mask mandate. Residents living in properties in Minneapolis and St. Paul must continue to wear face masks in common areas of the building.

Should you have any questions regarding specific property policies, please reach out to your Property Manager.

We would like to take this time to say how much we appreciate our residents, and to tell you that your patience and willingness to comply with all the restrictions along the way certainly helped our team get through these past 15 months. We thank you all for your loyalty and your trust in us. Have a safe and happy holiday weekend!
