Renting Vs. Buying: Why Renting is a Sound and Smart Decision
For many years, it’s been the American Dream to buy a home. Recently, due to economic changes, generational changes and a smaller, more connected world, that dream is ever-changing. Now, it seems that convenience, ease of life, sustainability, and living small are increasingly becoming the new normal.

Social Distancing
It’s not a matter of if the novel Coronavirus will continue to spread, but when. As you’re well aware by now, in an effort to “flatten the curve”, the CDC has recommended that we all stay in and practice social distancing.

Precautionary Measures | COVID-19
During this unsettling time, I’d like to assure you that providing a healthy environment for our residents and employees is our top priority at Steven Scott.

Your Career is a Jungle Gym…Not a Ladder
In 2013, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg brought the concept of the Jungle Gym to our mainstream vernacular through her bestselling book, Lean In. The jungle gym, as opposed to a ladder, refers to how a person should regard his or her career. Instead of moving up a narrow path at every given opportunity, one should move over, up, diagonally, and even back a few steps in order to eventually move up. A jungle gym allows a person to stretch, grow, explore and adapt—all things that will help a person be the most equipped for every new venture.

City Spotlight – Golden Valley and Robbinsdale
This week’s City Spotlight will highlight both Golden Valley and Robbinsdale. Both cities have a comfortable small-town feel but are a mere 5 miles outside of downtown Minneapolis. How to Make and Keep a New Year’s Resolution
If you’re anything like me, or most Americans, actually keeping a new year’s resolution for over a year seems almost impossible. You’ve tried and failed so many times, that even setting a goal seems pointless. Fear not! It’s totally possible…if it’s done right.

Building And Giving Back To The Community
“We created and implemented the ‘Steven Scott Community Builder.’ This program supports our apartment managers by offering a variety of ways for our renters to engage with each other and their neighborhood,” Bader says. “For example, our communities regularly participate in community blood drives with the Red Cross and make and serve food for families at the Ronald McDonald House.”
