Roseville, Maplewood, Shoreview, Vadnais Heights, New Brighton and White Bear Lake are communities that make up the Northeast suburbs of the Twin Cities.
These neighborhoods are known for affordable family living options, roomy lots, vibrant parks and tight knit communities with abundant family activities. Many describe this area as far enough out of the cities, but not too far.
The Northeast suburbs draw most Minnesotans (and many out-of-staters) every year for the “Great Minnesota Get-Together” or the Minnesota State Fair. This highly anticipated event happens in Falcon Heights which is just minutes from Roseville. Nearly 1.8 million people flood the fairgrounds for this 12-day event which is one of the most attended State Fairs in the country.
Roseville is home to the John Rose Oval, North America’s largest outdoor artificial sheet of ice and a perfect spot for date night skating. The city is also where the very first Target store was built in 1962. Other notable businesses in the area include Medtronic Inc., 3M Company, St. Jude Medical and Land O’ Lakes.
